Volunteering during the United Way Day of Caring

Each year two teams of HRSD employees lend their efforts to the United Way Day of Caring in South Hampton Roads and on the Peninsula. During this day of hard work, volunteers help build and maintain a stronger community. In 2011, one HRSD team completed repairs at the YWCA Women in Crisis Domestic Violence shelter while the second team performed yard work for Peninsula residents unable to tend to their homes.
