Chesapeake - Elizabeth Treatment Plant Improvements PROJECT NEWS: August 1, 2007 - The project is nearly complete. All underground process piping, tanks, new buidligns, and equipment are operational. The final plant site work is underway. Construction of a new Shore Drive turn lane and median cross-over, which should improve traffic flow into and out of the plan site, should begin soon. HRSD is undertaking a major project to upgrade our Chesapeake-Elizabeth Treatment Plant, located on Shore Drive in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
