Middlesex: Urbanna Pump Station

Body

In coordination with Middlesex County and the Town of Urbanna, HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, invites you to attend an Open House to learn about the Urbanna Pump Station. HRSD is undertaking a project to construct the Urbanna Pump Station, which will include demolition, site work, and sanitary sewer improvements along Linden Avenue. The new facility will be located on HRSD property located at 215 Linden Avenue in Urbanna and is designed as part of the Middlesex: Urbanna to Mathews Sewer Transmission Pipe & Pump Stations project to convey the wastewater from the Town of Urbanna ultimately to the York River Treatment Plant. The new facility will replace two existing pump stations (one at the Town’s adjacent public pool site and one on Tabor Lane) and allow for the decommissioning of the Urbanna Wastewater Treatment Plant, improving system operations and providing reliable sanitary sewer infrastructure for your community and the region.

Representatives of HRSD will be available during the Open House to explain the project and respond to questions. The answers to some Frequently Asked Questions may be found here.
