Redgate Avenue Meter Vault

Body

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is planning a project in your neighborhood to install a water meter vault. This project will provide HRSD with critical, missing information on the condition of the river crossing, as currently there is not a means to identify if a failure occurs at that crossing. The answers to some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are provided here.

Project Overview

The project is located within the City of Norfolk right-of-way along Redgate Avenue between Orapax Street and Langley Road. This project consists of installing a metering vault and metering equipment in the City right-of-way, directly across from Fergus Reid Tennis Park.

Most of the construction activities will be off the road and within the right of way. However, during construction, lane closures and traffic modifications may be necessary to facilitate work. We will work with the businesses and residences during construction activities.
