This project is a necessary part of a larger program to improve the condition of HRSD sewer structures. This project will provide updated infrastructure that will help ensure HRSD's ability to protect public health and the environment for decades to come.
-
Disruptions to traffic will be minimized and if needed, a single lane of traffic will be maintained. No planned detours are anticipated but flagging may be used to help direct traffic around the work, as needed.
-
If the work requires access to your property or driveway apron, we will contact you to discuss this work and make arrangements. Trash and mail services will not be affected. If necessary, the contractor will move trash containers from within a work zone to an area accessible for pickup, and will be responsible for returning them to each residence.
-
Work will typically take place Monday through Friday during daylight hours (7 a.m. - 5 p.m.). However, there may be times when extended hours, work at night, or weekend work may be necessary.
-
No. Your water and sewer service should not be affected by this project.
-
Any location where sewer structures are dug up, asphalt, curb, gutters, driveway aprons, and grass will be removed and then restored upon completion of the project.
-
The typical construction noises such as construction crews, equipment engines with back-up alarms, diesel generators and air compressors, sawing and the like should be anticipated.
-
Construction workers may park in vicinity of the worksite but will not block traffic or entrances to businesses or residences.
-
The estimated cost for the project is $3,000,000 and is financed by the wastewater treatment fees paid by HRSD customers.
