Sanitary Sewer Pipeline Inspection and Maintenance
--Utility Work To Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to inspect and perform maintenance on the sanitary sewer piping along Indian River Road. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Helpful Information:
- Beginning as early as August 21st, HRSD’s contractor will begin work along Indian River Road between Ontario Avenue and Wingfield Avenue.
- Beginning as early as August 28th, HRSD’s contractor will begin work along Indian River Road between Oaklette Avenue and Ontario Avenue.
- Local traffic should be aware that traffic patterns will shift and will include lane closures along westbound Indian River Road between Oaklette Avenue to Wingfield Avenue. Traffic control measures and flaggers will be in place. Access to homes/businesses will be maintained.
- To inspect the pipe, excavation will occur. This excavated area will be covered by a steel plate for security/safety purposes when the crew is not onsite.
- This work is expected to be completed within 2-3 weeks with the contractor being on-site intermittently. Permanent restoration may take up to 3-4 weeks depending on weather impacts. Work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to be extended.
While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise and traffic, along with the people and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change.
