Great Bridge Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Improvements

--Intersection/Road Closure at Great Bridge Boulevard and Bainbridge Boulevard--

 

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline across the intersection of Great Bridge Boulevard and Bainbridge Boulevard. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. The road closure/detour will be in place 24 hours/day.

Construction Update:

  • Beginning as early as March 10th, 2025, sanitary sewer pipeline installation will begin in the vicinity of your home/business at the intersection of Bainbridge Boulevard and Great Bridge Boulevard.
  • This work will take place during the daytime; the road closure/detours will be in place 24 hours a day.
  • Be aware, this work will require a detour route for traffic along Great Bridge Boulevard and Bainbridge Boulevard as indicated on the maps on the back of this notice.
    • Local Traffic Map: shows route for local traffic to access Bainbridge from either side of the closure on Bainbridge Boulevard
    • Thru Traffic Map: shows overall detour route for thru traffic
  • This work should not affect your water or sewer services.
  • This road closure/detour is anticipated to be complete in 4 to 6 weeks. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change or be extended.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.
