Lane Closures Scheduled for a Portion of Jefferson Avenue for Utility Work
NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD will begin work to abandon old sewer piping that is no longer in service along Jefferson Avenue. This work will require a closure of the outer lane on northbound Jefferson Avenue beginning just before Oyster Point Road and extending to the I-64E entrance ramp as indicated on the map below. The lane closure will begin as early as March 16 and will remain in place through April. Business entrances within the lane closure will remain accessible.
