Larchmont Area Sanitary Sewer Improvements (LASSI) Program

Body

-Monroe Pump Station Overnight Work-

Construction Update

  • On the evening of Tuesday, March 17, overnight work will take place at the Monroe Pump Station as part of ongoing sewer improvements in your neighborhood. This work will include a sewer pipeline shutdown and tie-in, connecting newly installed sewer pipes to the existing sewer pipe in the street.
  • Work will occur outside of normal daytime construction hours, approximately 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Overnight work is required due to lower sewer flow conditions and the need to stage vacuum trucks so that your sewer service is not interrupted. Performing this work at night is expected to minimize impacts to traffic and the surrounding community.
  • During this time, you may notice construction-related noise, including backup alarms, excavators, motors, and other equipment. Temporary lighting will also be used to safely complete the work.
  • Your water and sewer service will not be interrupted.
  • Pump and haul trucks may also be present at nearby pump station locations to support monitoring and pumping operations. There may be intermittent motor noise.
  • As with all construction activities, this work is weather- and condition-dependent, and the schedule may change or be extended if necessary.
