Great Bridge Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Improvements
--Utility Work to Occur--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, needs to make a repair to the tracer wire (helps locate buried utilities quickly and safely) along River Creek Road as part of the Great Bridge Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Improvements project. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Construction Update:
- Beginning as early as April 20, 2026, crews will perform additional exploratory work to locate the tracer wire for the sanitary sewer pipeline, so the tracer wire can be repaired.
- This work will occur on River Creek Road and will include some excavation work to locate and repair the tracer wire.
- Be aware, traffic patterns will shift. Periodic lane closures on River Creek Road will be in effect with flagging operations for motorists.
- This work should not affect your water or sewer services.
- This portion of the work is anticipated to be completed in less than 1 week. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent and dates are subject to change or be extended.
While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.

Thank you for your support of this effort to help achieve HRSD's vision:
Our communities will have clean waterways and reliable water resources for generations to come.
