Cedar Lane and Peake Lane Sewer Improvements Project

Body

--Utility Work to Occur: Cedar Lane--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to rehabilitate a sanitary sewer pipeline along Cedar Lane. Bypass piping assembly will take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, while Cured-In-Place-Piping (CIPP) installation will take place primarily between the hours of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Construction Update

  • Beginning as early as July 20, 2026, the contractor will begin setting up traffic control and a bypass piping system along Cedar Lane for this phase of work. Bypass piping ensures that the neighborhood sewer service is not interrupted. Please see the Bypass Fact Sheet for more information.
  • Bypass piping assembly will take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
  • Access to homes/businesses will be available. Any driveways impacted by this work will have a ramp or buried piping in place for access.
  • This portion of work is expected to occur for up to 1 week.

       ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Beginning as early as July 27, 2026, the installation of CIPP liners in the sewer pipeline along Cedar Lane will begin. HRSD has retained the firm Vortex Services, LLC, a subcontractor to Garney Companies, to perform this work.
  • CIPP installation will occur at night between the hours of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Driveway/Entrance access may be impacted for short periods of time due to construction activities. If access could be impacted, the contractor will notify you in advance to make arrangements

       ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Be aware that traffic patterns will shift and will include a northbound lane closure on Cedar Lane between Peake Lane and just north of West Norfolk Road.
  • Please review the Bypass & CIPP Fact Sheets for more information.
  • Two days before the CIPP lining work occurs in direct vicinity of your home, you will receive a separate notice with information and guidelines.
  • This work should not affect your water or sewer services.
  • This portion of the work is anticipated to be completed in 3-4 weeks. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change or be extended.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.

Thank you for your support of this effort to help achieve HRSD's vision:

Our communities will have clean waterways and reliable water resources for generations to come.
