WILLIAMSBURG – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be installing traffic control barriers on the right shoulder of the westbound lane of Humelsine Parkway (Route 199) near College Creek, which will require closure of the right westbound lane. The lane closure is scheduled to begin as early as Thursday, March 6, and is expected to remain in place on weekdays only during the hours of 8 a.m.-3 p.m. until Tuesday, March 11. The shoulder is expected to remain closed until Summer 2025. 

NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be pressure testing the newly installed sanitary sewer pipe along Old Lucas Creek Road as part of the Lucas Creek Pump Station Replacement. During this work, Old Lucas Creek Road will remain closed to through traffic. Residents and emergency vehicles will continue to have access to Old Lucas Creek Road with flaggers onsite directing traffic.

--Richmond Crescent Sanitary Sewer Pipeline Replacement--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to repair aerial crossing pipeline supports over Oastes Creek. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

--Intersection/Road Closure at Great Bridge Boulevard and Bainbridge Boulevard--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline across the intersection of Great Bridge Boulevard and Bainbridge Boulevard. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. The road closure/detour will be in place 24 hours/day.

CHESAPEAKE – HRSD crews will install sanitary sewer pipeline at the intersection of Great Bridge Boulevard and Bainbridge Boulevard beginning as early as Monday, March 10, with work expected to continue for 4-6 weeks.

• Passenger vehicles will follow a signed detour route for thru traffic for Bainbridge Boulevard using S. Military Highway, Campostella Road, Great Bridge Boulevard, Lincoln Street, and Outlaw Street as indicated on the map below.
