HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin milling and paving at the City of Newport News Riverview Gymnastics Center Access Road and portions of the Parking Lot (please refer to the map on the back of this notice). To accomplish this task this work is scheduled to occur at night. This night work is scheduled to occur from 8:30 pm to 5:30 am.

-- Riverview Farm Park Trailhead Work --

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking improvements for the James River Treatment Plant SWIFT project. The installation of over 1 mile of new trails adjacent to Riverview Farm Park and Menchville Marina and on HRSD’s and the City of Newport News’ property is underway. This work will typically take place during the hours of 7 am to 5 pm (Monday-Friday) in compliance with the project’s weekday work hours.

--Utility Work to Begin--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue work to replace a sanitary sewer pipeline located along Brick Kiln Boulevard near Bellows Way. This work should take place primarily during daytime hours. Due to the nature of this upcoming work, some periods of 24/7 “around the clock” work may be required to install the utility pipeline.

VIRGINIA BEACH -- HRSD Commission Chair Stephen C. Rodriguez of Chesapeake and Ann W. Templeman of Hampton have been reappointed by Governor Glenn Youngkin to each serve additional four-year terms on the eight-member HRSD Commission. 

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, in coordination with the City of Hampton, is planning a project in your neighborhood to rehabilitate the existing sanitary sewer pipelines and public sewer service connections that are nearing the end of their useful life. This rehabilitation project will increase the system lifespan while decreasing inflow and infiltration and decreasing risk of failures. HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, in coordination with the City of Norfolk, is planning a project in your neighborhood to replace the existing HRSD Luxembourg and Ashland Circle Pump Stations that are nearing the end of their useful life. This replacement project will also improve the sewer system’s performance and ensure continued, reliable sewer service in the future. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, in coordination with the City of Norfolk, is planning a project in your neighborhood to replace the existing HRSD City Park Pump Station that is nearing the end of its useful life. This replacement project will also improve the system’s performance and ensure continued, reliable sewer service in the future. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

NORFOLK – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be performing sanitary sewer pipeline improvements on Cromwell Drive that require a road closure of the westbound lane near the Chesapeake Boulevard intersection. During this work, traffic will follow a signed detour using Lafayette Boulevard and Tidewater Drive as indicated on the map below. The detour is scheduled to begin as early as July 8 and is expected to remain in place for up to one week.

VIRGINIA BEACH -- HRSD Commissioner Stephen C. Rodriguez has been re-elected to serve a third term as chair of the eight-member, Governor-appointed HRSD Commission, and Commissioner Willie Levenston, Jr., has been elected to serve as Vice Chair.
