HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline within and adjacent to Emancipation Drive between William R. Harvey way and Shore Road. The work adjacent to Emancipation Drive should take place between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Friday. The work within Emancipation Drive should take place between the hours of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday – Friday.

Traffic Advisory - May 4, 2023

 

CHESAPEAKE HRSD crews will be performing utility repair work on Great Bridge Boulevard near the intersection of Battlefield Boulevard beginning Friday, May 5, at 9:00 p.m. and lasting up to 24 hours. This work will require a reduction in travel lanes to safely perform the required repairs, so motorists may experience travel delays in the area during work hours.

George Washington Highway near the intersection of Canal Drive beginning Tuesday, April 25, at 8:00 p.m. and lasting up to 12 hours. This work will require a closure of the northbound travel lanes on N. George Washington Highway. Northbound traffic will be directed to use the inside southbound lane for travel as indicated on the map below.

The installation of over 1 mile of new trails adjacent to Riverview Farm Park and Menchville Marina and on HRSD’s property is underway. This work will typically only take place during the hours of 7 am to 5 pm (Monday-Friday) in compliance with the project’s weekday work hours.
