HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is working to perform pipeline and manhole rehabilitation near the corner of Aberdeen Rd. and 58th Street. In order to rehabilitate the pipe and manhole, wastewater flow needs to be diverted. To help reduce pressure in the sewer lines and to reduce flow at the pump stations, vactor trucks will be used to pump wastewater from a pump station and haul it to another location. This pump and haul work is expected to occur primarily between the hours of 9pm-7am on the evening of Monday, March 11.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will work to replace a sanitary sewer pipeline located along the Yoder Plaza Shopping Center parking lot access road between Hancock Drive and HQ Way (please see the map on the back of this notice). This work should take place primarily between the hours of 9 pm and 6 am.

--Well Installation Update for Well #9 (DATE Change)--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking improvements for the James River Treatment Plant SWIFT project. Due to a construction delay, the 24-hour construction dates at well site#9 have changed and the 24-hour operations will take place on Monday, February 26th, Tuesday, February 27th or Wednesday, February 28th.  For a map of well site #9 please see the back of this notice.

CHESAPEAKE – HRSD crews are installing sanitary sewer pipeline in Great Bridge Boulevard at the intersection of Neal Street. Work began on February 5 and is now expected to be completed in early March.

HRSD, in partnership with the City of Newport News, is constructing a walking trail along Flax Mill Creek. During construction, an unanticipated burial site was identified. Due to this discovery, construction in the area was halted and coordination with the City of Newport News Archaeologist, City of Newport News Police and Medical Examiner, and Department of Historic Resources has been on-going. The area of discovery was initially inspected by the City of Newport News Archaeologist.
