Starting as early as January 25, 2024, and continuing through early February, our contractor, Precision Measurements, has been authorized to perform work on behalf of HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, and the City of Norfolk as part of the Larchmont Area Sanitary Sewer Improvements Program. This program will replace, upgrade, and relocate sanitary sewer pump stations and their connecting pipelines in the Larchmont-Edgewater community.

--Utility Work to Begin--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to replace a sanitary sewer pipeline located along Brick Kiln Boulevard. This work should take place primarily during daytime hours. Due to the nature of this upcoming work, some periods of 24/7 “around the clock” work may be required to install the utility pipeline.

Secondary Concrete Pour Project Update – January 2024

CHESAPEAKE – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be performing sanitary sewer pipeline repairs that require a road closure on Shell Road from the intersection of Hopewell Drive to Bay Oak Drive. This work will impact travel as follows:

--Utility Work to Continue--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline near the intersection of Robin Hood Road and Glen Avenue. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday – Friday.

--Utility Work To Begin--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to inspect and perform maintenance on the sanitary sewer piping along Swannanoa Drive. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. beginning as early as Monday, January 29th. This work can be weather and situation dependent and should not affect your water or sewer services.
