HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, in coordination with the City of Virginia Beach, is planning a project in your neighborhood to rehabilitate existing HRSD sanitary sewer pipelines that are nearing the end of their useful life. This rehabilitation project will ensure continued, reliable sewer service in the future. The answers to some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are provided here.
--Utility Work to Occur--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is working to install a new sanitary sewer pump station and rehabilitate existing sanitary sewer and manholes in the Phoebus area. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, but could include weekend work.
--Parking spaces to be temporarily blocked off--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue work to replace a sanitary sewer pipeline located along Brick Kiln Boulevard near Bellows Way. This work should take place primarily during daytime hours.
--Utility Work to Continue--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to connect/tie-in the newly installed sewer pipe to the existing sewer pipe at the intersection of River Creek Road and Campostella Boulevard. The preparation for this will take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. The actual connection/tie-in to the existing sewer pipe will need to be completed during weekday nighttime hours while sewer flows are lower.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to connect service laterals to the newly installed sanitary sewer pipeline along Neal Street between Great Bridge Boulevard and River Creek Road. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue work to restore the pavement from Fox Hill Road at the Old Buckroe Road intersection, along Old Buckroe Road and Seaboard Avenue (Please see the map on the back of this notice which includes alternative routes around construction). This work should take place primarily between the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday –Saturday.
