NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be installing sanitary sewer pipes near the corner of Lucas Creek Road and Old Lucas Creek Road. This work will require closure of Old Lucas Creek Road from Debbie Lane to Lucas Creek Road and the right northbound lane of Lucas Creek Road Monday- Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. beginning Wednesday, June 18th through Wednesday, July 2nd. The closure will not be in place on Thursday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

--Drilling for Instrument Installation Beginning May 2025--

NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be testing and installing sewer pipe for the new Lucas Creek Pump Station. This work will require a full closure of Old Lucas Creek Road between Debbie Lane and Lucas Creek Road from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11 until Friday, June 13. Motorists will need to follow the marked detour using Lucas Creek Road and Denbigh Boulevard as indicated on the map below.

The road will be open over the weekend. Motorists will need to follow the marked detour using Lucas Creek Road and Denbigh Boulevard as indicated on the map below.

--Milling & Paving Work to Begin--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to mill and pave at the Featherstone Apartment Complex and along Brick Kiln Boulevard. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

--Riverview Farm Park Trails--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will be installing pipes to support the SWIFT facility underneath a portion of the trail in Riverview Farm Park (please refer to the map on the back of this notice). This work is scheduled to take place Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
