This work will require the closure of Old Lucas Creek Road between Debbie Lane and Lucas Creek Road and a closure of the right northbound lane of Lucas Creek Road. All closures will occur on weekdays only from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and will continue until the end of November. For the detour route, refer to the map below.

NEWPORT NEWS – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be installing a valve along Patrick Henry Mall’s Access Loop Road near the northwest Macy’s parking lot as part of the Kiln Creek/Patrick Henry Mall Area Sewer Pipe Replacement. During this work, motorists can follow a signed detour around the portion of Access Loop Road as indicated on the map below.

SUFFOLK – Motorists are advised that HRSD will begin work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline across Armstead Road. This work will require a full closure of Armstead Road between the traffic circle entrance to Armstead Road and Ironside Drive. The construction crews are scheduled to work 24 hours a day beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22 – 5:00 a.m. Monday, August 25. Motorists will need to follow the marked detour using Point Place and Ironside Drive as indicated on the map below.

SUFFOLK – Motorists are advised that HRSD will begin overnight work to install a light pole along I-664 South. This work will require closure of the southbound right lane and right shoulder of I-664 beginning before the Armstead Road Overpass and continuing to near Exit 8A (College Drive). Exit 8A will remain open. The closure will be set up on Thursday, August 14, at 8:00 p.m. and is expected to remain in place until Friday, August 15 at 5:00 a.m. For more information, please refer to the map below.
