Bainbridge Boulevard Sewer Pipeline Update

Work at the intersection of Swain Avenue and Bainbridge Boulevard is complete, and Swain Avenue is now open.
Traffic Advisory - November 20, 2025
VIRGINIA BEACH – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be performing a sanitary sewer valve replacement on northbound Kempsville Road at the Beaufain Boulevard and Brandon Boulevard intersection. During this work, lane closures will be in place that will affect the flow of traffic as indicated on the map below. The work is scheduled to begin as early as 9:00 p.m. on November 21 and is expected to remain in place through Sunday night.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will resume work at the Land Motion Observatory at the James River Treatment Plant. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is starting a project in your neighborhood to rehabilitate the HRSD Jamestown Crescent Pump Station that is nearing the end of its useful life. This rehabilitation project will improve the sewer system’s performance and ensure continued, reliable sewer service in the future. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
