CHESAPEAKE – HRSD crews will install sanitary sewer pipeline in Great Bridge Boulevard between Bainbridge Boulevard and Lincoln Road beginning as early as Monday, April 22 with work expected to continue for up to 3 months. 

• This work will require a passenger vehicle detour route for thru traffic for Great Bridge Boulevard as indicated on the map below. Residents within the “road closed to thru traffic” area will continue to have access. 

• TRUCK TRAFFIC NOTICE: Great Bridge Boulevard will be closed at both Bainbridge Boulevard and Campostella Avenue for thru truck traffic. Trucks will follow the detour using Dominion Boulevard and S. Military Highway. Detour signs and Portable Message Boards will be in place for the truck route.
