HRSD modifies Commission Meeting Attendance In Response to COVID-19

Body

HRSD is committed to keeping our people, our business partners and the general public safe during the evolving conditions related to COVID-19 while continuing to perform our critical mission of protecting public health through effective wastewater treatment.

In order to adhere to CDC recommendations of social distancing to minimize potential exposure to COVID-19 we are limiting the number of people gathered in one location for any public meeting - including HRSD Commission meetings.

We ask our suppliers and contractors, please only attend meetings for which you have a specific and identifiable business need to attend and please limit your representation to one member of your organization.

We ask all business partners and citizens to attend Commission meetings in person only if you need to address the Commission on an issue being considered by the Commission at that meeting. Commission Agendas are posted here three days ahead of each scheduled meeting.

If you do not need to address the Commission but still want to observe Commission meetings, we have made arrangements to host limited numbers of observers via remote broadcast at our HRSD Nansemond Treatment Plant, 6909 Armstead Road, Suffolk VA 23435. Seating is limited. To reserve a seat please contact the HRSD Commission Secretary at jcascio@hrsd.com. HRSD reserves the right to refuse admittance to anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms.

These restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.

Thank you for your support,
HRSD
