Update: Lane Closures Remain In Effect For Emergency Sanitary Sewer Repairs On East Little Creek Road

Body

NORFOLK HRSD continues to perform emergency repair work within the right and center lanes of westbound East Little Creek Road at the I-64 overpass (between W. Glen Road and Admiral Taussig Boulevard). Motorists traveling west along East Little Creek Road within this work zone remain restricted to the left lane while the work continues.

For worker safety, all traffic accessing East Little Creek Road from the I-64 off ramp, Exit 276C, must turn right onto eastbound East Little Creek Road. Motorists are encouraged to use Exit 277B, E. Bayview Boulevard, Thole Street and Granby Street as alternate routes to minimize travel delays.

Please remain alert while driving through this work zone and plan travel accordingly.

HRSD’s mission is to protect public health and the waters of Hampton Roads by treating wastewater effectively. A political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, HRSD was created by public referendum in 1940 and currently serves 18 cities and counties in southeast Virginia, an area with a population of 1.7 million.
