Pump Station Wet Well Rehabilitation Projects

Body

--Work To Begin--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to rehabilitate and perform maintenance of the internal systems of multiple pump stations within the cities of Norfolk and Chesapeake. One of these sites is the Norview Avenue Pump Station, located at 869 Norview Avenue in the City of Norfolk. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The contractor will begin maintenance work at the pump station near your home to make necessary repairs and upgrades to the system. The construction work will be confined to within HRSD's property. However, you may notice construction traffic entering and exiting the site as needed. This work can be weather and situation dependent and should not affect your water or sewer services.

This work is expected to be completed in the spring of 2018.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, work crews and equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with this work. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.

For additional information and updates, please visit the project’s website page,

Thank you for your support of this effort to help achieve HRSD’s vision:

Future generations will inherit clean waterways and are able to keep them clean.
