Sanitary Sewer Pipeline Inspection and Maintenance

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to inspect and perform maintenance on the sanitary sewer piping within the intersection of Kempsville Road and Beaufain Boulevard / Brandon Boulevard. This work will start at 9:00 p.m. on Friday (10/24) and is expected to be complete by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday (10/26).

Construction Information:

  • Beginning as early as the evening of October 24th, HRSD’s contractor will begin work in the vicinity of your property within the Kempsville Road and Beaufain Boulevard / Brandon Boulevard intersection.

  • This work will require lane closures on Kempsville Road. Traffic control measures will be in place to direct traffic around the work as required. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

  •  Local traffic should be aware that traffic patterns will shift and will include lane closures at the intersection. Please see the map on the back of the notice for details.

  • This work is expected to be completed within 3 days with the contractor being on-site continuously through evenings until complete. Work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change or be extended.

 

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, work crews and equipment (with back-up safety alarms) entering and exiting the site associated with this work. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.
