Phoebus Area Sanitary Sewer Extension
--Utility Work to Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install sanitary sewer pipes as shown in the image on the back of this notice between William R. Harvey Way and the City of Hampton Pump Station. The work should take place between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Construction Update:
- Beginning as early as August 15th, pipe installation work should begin in the vicinity of your home/business.
- This work will take place during daytime and predominately in the road.
- Be aware, this work will primarily be located off paved areas at the end of East College Place and in the area between the residences and Hampton University’s Parking Lot 41
- This work should not affect your water service; the contractor will notify you of any limited sewer service interruptions.
- The work is expected to be completed in 8-10 weeks.
While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, and the use of heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.
Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent and dates are subject to change.
