-- Well Installation Update for Well #7 --

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking improvements for the James River Treatment Plant SWIFT project. The construction at well site #7 (please see the map on the back for location information) will shift to 24-hour operations starting Monday in order to complete this portion of work.

Well Completion Information:

• The drilling at Well #7 has been completed and the well is being tested for acceptability. To ensure the well meets the project requirements the well will be tested using pumping equipment.
• This process is generally “similar" to daily well operations, and the noises should be limited to diesel engines and machinery which may sound like a generator.
• All water used by the testing is sent by pipes to HRSD’s James River Treatment Plant.
• Normal construction traffic is anticipated, and no additional parking will be required.
• Below are pictures of the well installation process.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise and traffic, along with the people and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change.
