Hollywood Area Sewer Pipeline & Pump Station Replacement Project
--E. Washington Street Pump Station Site Work to Continue--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline and pump station on E. Washington Street. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Construction Update:
- Work continues on the pump site at 2245 East Washington Street with the basement level of the pump station nearly complete. In the coming months, the construction of the above ground structure will begin, while internal work continues.
- Sewer pipe installation is occurring on the shoulders of East Washington Street, south of the pump station site and going east towards the wooded railway.
- East Washington Street will maintain two lanes of traffic. However, please remain alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the site.
- This work should not affect your water or sewer services.
- This sheet piling portion of the work is complete. The pump station construction at this site is expected to be completed by Fall 2027. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent and dates are subject to change or be extended.
While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.
