Hollywood Area Sewer Pipeline & Pump Station Replacement Project
--Virginia Ham Drive: Sewer Pipe Installation to Continue--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will continue installation of sewer piping within the previously installed casing pipes in the Virginia Ham Drive/Portsmouth Boulevard area. This work should take place primarily between the hours o 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Construction Update:
- Work underway near Virginia Ham Drive includes driving the final sheeting for the future pump station wet well, and the continued installation of underground sewer piping.
- In the coming months, the previously installed sheeting for the tunnel pits will be removed and those areas will be backfilled/graded.
- Be aware, traffic patterns will shift and will include a lane closure on Portsmouth Boulevard near Virginia Ham Drive.
- Access to homes/businesses will be available.
- This work should not affect your water or sewer services.
- This portion of the work is anticipated to be completed in 7-8 months.
- Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent and dates are subject to change or be extended.
While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.
