Pughsville Station Upgrades

Body

--Daytime Work Hours Extended--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, continues work to upgrade its pump station located near the intersection of Bob White Lane and Shoulders Hill Road. This work is part of a federally mandated consent decree with a deadline of February 23, 2018. This work is situation and weather dependent and should not affect your water or sewer services.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • The contractor will begin working extended hours, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week to meet the federally mandated timeline, until completed
  • This phase of construction is estimated to be completed by the end of February
  • Once the construction phase has been completed restoration and closeout work will begin. This work is expected through March
  • The lane shift and detour will be returned to normal status as soon as safely permissible

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice nighttime light sources, traffic and crews, increased noise, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site. For additional information please visit the project’s website page.

Thank you for your support of this effort to help achieve HRSD’s vision:

Future generations will inherit clean waterways and are able to keep them clean.
