Newtown Road Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to rehabilitate a sanitary sewer pipeline along Newtown Road as part of the Newtown Road Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation project. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday – Friday.

Construction Update:

  • Beginning as early as May 27, 2025, the installation of CIPP liners in the sewer pipelines will begin. HRSD has retained the firm Inliner Solutions, a subcontractor to Bridgeman Civil, to perform this work.
  • Be aware, traffic patterns will shift and will include lane closures and possible short-term detours. Access to homes/businesses will be available.
  • Driveway/Entrance access may be impacted for short periods of time due to construction activities. If access could be impacted, the contractor will notify you in advance to make arrangements.
  • This work will take place primarily during the nighttime and within the right-of-way.
  • This work should not affect your water or sewer services.
  • This portion of the work is anticipated to be completed in 2-3 weeks. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change or be extended.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.
