Sanitary Sewer Pipeline Inspection and Maintenance Project
--Work to Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to inspect and perform maintenance of the sanitary sewer piping along Independence Boulevard at the Broad Street intersection. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. on Saturday August 12th and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday August 13th. This work can be weather and situation dependent and should not affect your water or sewer services.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Beginning as early as 8:00 a.m. on August 12th, HRSD’s contractor will begin work near your business along southbound Independence Boulevard between Jeanne Street and Broad Street.
- The work will include inspections and necessary maintenance to the underground sewer system.
- Excavations will require lane closures within southbound Independence Boulevard. Lane closures are anticipated for the two outside travel lanes between Jeanne Street and Broad Street and the right turn lane from southbound Independence Boulevard to Broad Street.
- The right turn lane from southbound Independence Boulevard to Jeanne Street will be accessible.
- This work is expected to be completed between August 12th and August 13th. Work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to be extended.
While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, work crews and equipment (with back-up safety alarms) entering and exiting the site associated with this work. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.
