Project Overview

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is undertaking a project to rehabilitate or replace the sanitary sewer pipeline and manholes along Cedar Lane and Peake Lane. This project will improve performance and reliability within HRSD’s sanitary sewer system.

The rehabilitation portion of work will cover the area on northbound Cedar Lane from the HRSD Cedar Lane Pump Station (PS #104) that is slightly north of West Norfolk Road down to the intersection at Peak Lane and will continue along eastbound Peake Lane to West Norfolk Road. The rehabilitation work will include cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining and manhole rehabilitation. CIPP is a jointless, seamless “pipe within a pipe” method that requires little to no digging.

The project also includes the replacement of the sanitary sewer pipeline on northbound Cedar Lane from the intersection of Cedar Lane and Peake Lane to the intersection of Cedar Lane and Greenfield Drive. This section of work for the new sewer pipe will be installed in a trench, meaning pavement cutting and excavation will be necessary to install the new pipe. The new sewer pipe will replace the existing sewer pipe in the same location, and the old pipe will be removed and disposed of. Pavement restoration of the roadways affected by installation of the sewer pipe will occur once the sewer installation is complete.

Project Schedule

Staging: April 2026
Construction: Spring 2026 - Summer 2027
Restoration: Immediately following construction when seasonably appropriate.
