HRSD Modifies Commission Meeting Attendance in Response to COVID-19

HRSD remains committed to keeping our people, our business partners and the general public safe during the COVID-19 pandemic while continuing to perform our critical mission of protecting public health through effective wastewater treatment.

In adherence with CDC recommendations of social distancing to minimize potential exposure to COVID-19, the April HRSD Commission Meeting will be a virtual meeting held via Skype in compliance with recently adopted provisions for public bodies within the Commonwealth to meet electronically when circumstances related to an emergency - such as social distancing - make it impractical to meet in a single location.

Detailed Commission agendas are posted on three days prior to each scheduled meeting.

The opportunity to observe this month's meeting through Skype will be available by reservation on a limited basis. Please email Commission Secretary, Jennifer Cascio at for details. Meeting observation requests will be honored on a first come, first served basis and must be received by 4:30 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2020.

The opportunity to observe and address the Commission (on specific agenda items only) through Skype will be available by reservation on a limited basis. The Commission reserves the right to limit comments to three minutes per person.

Where a commenter does not desire to address the Commission during the meeting but still would like to make a comment related to any portion of the agenda or general HRSD operations, comments should be submitted to Jennifer Cascio by email to or by phone to 757.460.7003, and must be received by noon, Monday, April 27, 2020. These comments will be read into the record during the April meeting and addressed by the Commission as appropriate.

These restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.
