Public Invited To Attend Briefing
NEWPORT NEWS -- HRSD will hold its annual meeting to review the status of the Integrated Plan/Regional Wet Weather Management Plan (RWWMP) at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at HRSD’s North Shore Operations Center at 2389 G Avenue, Newport News, Virginia. The meeting will take place in the second floor conference room.
The public is invited to attend this meeting, which will include information about the extensive cooperation between HRSD and the localities it serves as well as steps residents of the region can take to protect area waterways. Individuals who desire more information or those who are disabled and will require an accommodation at the meeting should call 757.460.7003.
HRSD’s mission is to protect public health and the waters of Hampton Roads by treating wastewater effectively. A political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, HRSD was created by public referendum in 1940 and currently serves 18 cities and counties in southeast Virginia, an area with a population of 1.7 million.
