HRSD Crews Working to Repair Force Main Failure on Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake
(CHESAPEAKE) – HRSD crews are responding to a force main failure on S. Battlefield Boulevard near Ashley Road in Chesapeake. The 16-inch line failure was reported Friday morning and is affecting Cooper’s Ditch. The quantity of the release is being determined.
Crews are working with the City of Chesapeake to divert the flow into a City manhole while they make the necessary repairs.
The outside northbound lane of S. Battlefield Boulevard as well as Ashley Road is closed at this time to ensure the safety of the crew while they work.
