Emergency Sewer Line Repair

Body

--W. Bay Avenue & St. George Avenue Intersection Closure--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is working to repair a line break that occurred the evening of Monday, February 8th at the intersection of W. Bay Avenue and St. George Avenue. In order to repair the pipe, crews had to close the intersection of W. Bay Avenue and St. George Avenue on Tuesday morning. This has caused an inconvenience for the residents on the dead-end side of St. George as vehicles will not have room to pass through the intersection. Please utilize parking on the street on W. Bay Avenue during the duration of this work.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Work is currently underway to repair the pipe.
  • Traffic control is in place to detour motorists around the work.
  • This work should not affect your water or sewer services.
  • This emergency repair work and road restoration is anticipated to be completed by Wednesday, February 10th. This completion date is dependent on weather and may be extended.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.

We thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to make these repairs.
