Beach Road and Lemaster Avenue Sanitary Sewer Improvements
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, in coordination with the City of Hampton, is planning a project in your neighborhood to rehabilitate the existing sanitary sewer pipelines and public sewer service connections that are nearing the end of their useful life. This rehabilitation project will increase the system lifespan while decreasing inflow and infiltration and decreasing risk of failures. The answers to some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are provided here.
Project Overview
The project starts at Woodland Road Pump Station (located at 11 McElheney Lane) proceeds across Fox Hill Road (to just southeast of Lemaster Avenue) then to Lemaster Avenue, it travels along Lemaster Avenue to Fort Worth Street, along Fort Worth Street to Harris Creek Road, and from Harris Creek Road to the intersection of Harris Creek Road and Little Back River Road. This project includes the rehabilitation of sewer pipes, rehabilitation and installation of manholes, replacement and/or rehabilitation of service laterals, replacement of property line cleanouts, along with site restoration. The Cure in Place Pipe (CIPP) system is anticipated to be used for the sewer pipe rehabilitation for more information please see the fact sheet (included with this letter).
