Nassawadox Treatment Plant Demolition

Body

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is beginning a project in your neighborhood to demolish an existing wastewater treatment plant that is no longer in service.

Project Overview

The project is located at 9475 Hospital Avenue in Nassawadox, adjacent to the former site of the recently demolished Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. The project includes the demolishing and removal of all above ground structures and filling any below ground voids with soil material. The site will be planted with grass when the work is complete.

This work will take place during daytime hours on property owned by HRSD and will not affect your utility services. The contractor will maintain a clean job site and minimize traffic disruption. While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with demolition. Please take care when traveling around the demolition area and for your safety, do not enter the site.
