Smoke testing of the sanitary sewer system will take place within the neighborhood of Sedgefield in the City of Newport News from late February into early March.

This non-invasive test of the sanitary sewer system typically does not require private property access and will usually take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless in a school zone. Depending on the outcome of the smoke testing, private property access may need to occur, and you will be contacted directly by a member of the project team in advance if access is needed.
