Overnight Lane Closures Scheduled on Virginia Beach Boulevard for Sewer Pipeline Replacement

Body

VIRGINIA BEACH – Motorists are advised that HRSD crews will be performing underground utility location work this week, beginning Wednesday, December 4 through Friday, December 6. Traffic on westbound Virginia Beach Boulevard between North Lynnhaven Road and Kings Grant Road will be reduced to two lanes while work takes place in the two right-most lanes each night between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

The work is weather dependent and subject to change or require additional time and is part of the Virginia Beach Boulevard Pipeline Replacement Project. Motorists should exercise caution while driving through the area and may experience delays.

HRSD’s mission is to protect public health and the waters of Hampton Roads by treating wastewater effectively. A political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, HRSD was created by public referendum in 1940 and currently serves 18 cities and counties in southeast Virginia, an area with a population of 1.7 million.
