Temporary Road Closure for Through Traffic

• On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, a one-day road closure for through traffic will be in place to support critical construction work for ongoing sewer improvements in your neighborhood.
• Work is expected to begin as early 7:30 am, and roads are expected to reopen by 4:00 pm. Due to the nature of construction, dates and times are subject to change or be extended.
• During this time, the contractor will mobilize and place a crane at the intersection of Powhatan Avenue and Buckingham Avenue to safely set a precast concrete structure. This operation requires temporary road closures to help protect residents, workers, and passing motorists.

The closure will take place on: 

• Powhatan Avenue between Bolling Avenue and Magnolia Avenue
• Buckingham Avenue between Powhatan Avenue and Rolfe Avenue

Traffic & Access Information: 

• Local access to homes within the road closure will be maintained at all times.
• Roads within the closure area will be open to local traffic only.
• Through-traffic will be detoured around the work zone using posted signage.
• Emergency vehicles will retain access at all times.
