Kiln Creek/Patrick Henry Area Sewer Pipe Replacement

Body

--Utility Work to Resume--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work along Jefferson Avenue to abandon the old sewer pipe that has now been replaced by a new sewer pipe. This work is scheduled to take place Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Construction Update:

  • Beginning as early as March 16, the old sewer pipe that has now been replaced by the new sewer pipe will be abandoned so it is no longer in service.
  • Be aware, traffic patterns will be affected and will include a right lane closure along northbound Jefferson Avenue beginning just before Oyster Point Road and continuing to the I-64E entrance ramp. (please refer to map below).
  • This lane closure will be in effect from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Access to all residents and businesses will be maintained throughout this work.
  • This work should not affect your water or sewer services.
  • This section of work is anticipated to be completed in 2-3 weeks. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent and dates are subject to change.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.
