Wythe Creek Road Sewer Pipe Replacement (Hampton)

Body

--Potholing of Utilities to Occur--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is working to install a new pipe along the Wythe Creek Road from Hampton to Poquoson. This new pipe will increase the sewer system’s reliability and help ensure HRSD’s ability to protect public health and the environment for decades to come. The potholing work is being done to verify the depths of the utilities. This work will take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Construction Update:

  • Beginning as early as November 11, potholing of utilities will begin. This activity includes excavating holes that are approximately 3 x 5 feet in size. Holes should be filled the same day and then patched.

  • This work will take place during the daytime and will require closure of the South entrance to Captain Harrell’s Seafood and the Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park (please refer to the map on the back of this notice).

  • During this work, the North entrance will be open, and access for all residents and businesses will be maintained.

  • Please be advised that the work will involve the temporary closure of the intersection between 7:00am and 5:00pm.

  • This work should not affect your water or sewer.

  • This portion of the work is anticipated to be completed in approximately 1-2 days. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent and dates are subject to change.
