Update: Willard Avenue Pump Station and Sewer Replacement
--Lateral Work to Occur--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, is working on sewer pipes and lateral connections on the east and west sides of S. Willard Avenue from Downes Street to National Avenue. This work will include replacing lateral connections and sewer pipe that is near the end of its useful life. This work is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday and could include weekend work.
Construction Update:
- Beginning as early as April 22, new sewer pipe lateral installations will take place in your area.
- The new sewer pipes will be installed in the right-of-way near S. Willard Avenue to the sewer pipe in the road in front of each home from Downes Street to National Avenue. (For more information, please refer to the map on the back of this notice.
- Be aware this work will take place in the roadway and could include partial lane closures, street closures, and detours. Flagging will be in place to direct motorists around the work. Access to all residents and businesses will be maintained throughout construction.
- The contractor will hang a reminder notice on your door 24-48 hours prior to the connection in front of your home, will knock on your door before the work begins, and will notify you again once the work is complete.
- During the installation when the contractor is in front of your home:
- Do not run water, flush toilets, take showers, wash clothes, run dishwashers, etc
- This work will take place primarily during daytime hours.
- Each connection should take 4-6 hours to complete, and the contractor will notify you when you can use your sewer again.
- This portion of the work is anticipated to be completed in approximately 6-8 weeks.
