Providence Road Pumping Station and Pipeline Improvements

Body

-- Notice of Upcoming Night Work --

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, continues work to update the pumping station and reconfigure the external buried piping at its existing Providence Road Pressure Reducing Station (PRS) located at 5729 Old Providence Road. This work will connect an existing pipeline near the Providence Road PRS to the future off-line storage facility for the Woodstock Park Improvements Project. This work will commence during the day on Monday, September 9th and run continuously until the installation of a casing pipe beneath Providence Road is complete. This means work will occur continuously between Monday morning and Friday morning.

Starting Monday, September 9th, a casing pipe will be bored beneath Providence Road between Woodstock Park and the Providence Road Pressure Reducing Station located at 5729 Old Providence Road. This work will run continuously until complete and is estimated to require 96 hours. The anticipated completion date is Friday, September 13th.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise, traffic, crews, and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site.

Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent and dates are subject to change. Please visit the project's website page, https://www.hrsd.com/providence-road-pumping-station for updates.

Thank you for your support of this effort to help achieve HRSD's vision:

Future generations will inherit clean waterways and be able to keep them clean.
