Providence Road Pumping Station and Pipeline Improvements

Body

--Notice of Upcoming Flagging Operation--

HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, continues work to update the pumping station and the external buried piping at its existing Providence Road Pressure Reducing Station (PRS) located at 5729 Old Providence Road. Upcoming work to install a pipe from the project site to an existing sanitary sewer manhole in the middle of Old Providence Road will require a roadway lane closure. Vehicle traffic passing through the work area on Old Providence Road will be managed by a flagging operation. This could create brief delays to motorists traveling on Old Providence Road. This work is scheduled to occur between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. during the week of Monday, November 2nd and is anticipated to take 2 to 3 days to complete.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Beginning the week of November 2nd, a pipe will be installed from the project site to an existing sanitary sewer manhole in the middle of Old Providence Road.
  • Flaggers will be in place to guide motorists around the work area.
  • This may create brief delays to motorists traveling along Old Providence Road.
  • The work is anticipated to take 2 to 3 days and should be completed by Friday, November 6th.

Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change. Please visit the project’s website page https://www.hrsd.com/providence-road-pumping-station  for updates.

Thank you for your support of this effort to help achieve HRSD's vision:

Future generations will inherit clean waterways and be able to keep them clean.
