Park Avenue Pump Station Update

As early as April 7th, our contractors will begin work in front of the new Park Avenue station to tie in the station sewer pipeline into the existing sewer pipeline on Park Avenue. This will include excavation and pipe replacement on Park Avenue in the area in red on the map shown to the right. 

Due to this construction, the following conditions will occur:

• Work shall not block any portion of Park Avenue on school days during school arrival (7-8am) and departure (2:30-3:30pm) hours.
• Access to the school bus lane, indicated by the curved blue line above, will be maintained.
• Flaggers will maintain two-way traffic between Perry Street and the faculty/parent circulation driveway on the west side of the school during school hours. This route on Park Avenue is indicated in yellow above.
• Access for residents along Porter Street shall be maintained at all times.

Construction will take place during daytime hours (7 AM – Sunset). During this operation, you may hear noises such as excavation, engines, backup alarms, diesel generators and motors. Your water and sewer service will not be disrupted. This portion of construction is expected to be completed within 2 weeks. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change.
