--Project Update--

Perry Street Construction Start

map

As early as June 18th, our contractors will begin work on Perry Street to replace existing sewer pipeline to improve sewer system reliability and provide for future capacity. This will include excavation and pipe replacement in the area in red on the map shown to the right. Due to this construction, Perry Street will be closed to through traffic with no street parking.

During the work period, these conditions will be in place:

  • Access for residents on Perry Street shall be maintained at all times. Occasionally, driveway access may be impacted, but we will work with residents to address any concerns. Residences can be accessed from both Park Avenue and by the yellow access route depicted in the map to the right.
  • Mail and package service delivery to residents will not be impacted and contractors will work with delivery services to ensure that mail and packages reach your home.
  • Trash service will continue to be picked up in the locations where you typically place your trash.

Construction will take place during daytime hours (7 AM – Sunset). During this operation, you may hear noises such as excavation, engines, backup alarms, diesel generators and motors. Your water and sewer service will not be disrupted. Vibration monitors will be located onsite and near the construction area to ensure limited disruption to you in your residence. Your water and sewer service will not be disrupted. Dust control measures such as paving, frequent road cleaning and/or application of water will be enacted to reduce dust from becoming airborne. After construction, roadways and rights-of-way will be restored to their pre-construction structure and materials.

This construction is tentatively expected to be completed in September 2025. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change.

While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise and traffic, along with the people and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change.
