Sanitary Sewer Pipeline Construction Update
In Spring 2023, HRSD will continue its sanitary sewer replacement project with work beginning on Park Avenue between Bainbridge Boulevard and Rodgers Street. Construction will include the excavation of the road and sidewalk to replace the existing sanitary sewer pipes. After construction, roadways will be restored to their pre-construction structure and materials.

- Byrd Avenue to Bainbridge Boulevard
- early 2024 to Spring 2024

During the construction of Phase I, Park
Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic and parking. Residents will need to access their homes via their back alley. Mail delivery and any changes to trash service will be communicated prior to construction in 2023.
Construction will take place during daytime hours (7 AM – Sunset). During this operation, you may hear noises such as drilling, engines, backup alarms, diesel generators and motors. Your water and sewer service will not be disrupted.
More information regarding construction impacts to residents in Phase I will be released in spring 2023.
Park Avenue Pump Station Construction
Following construction delays, the schedule for excavation at the new Park Avenue Pump Station site will continue through late March. This work will occur directly on the pump station property itself, Monday – Friday between the hours of 7 AM – 7 PM and will not impact traffic patterns. As a reminder, construction of this pump station is ongoing until Summer 2024.
While our project team works diligently to minimize impacts, you may notice increased noise and traffic, along with the people and heavy equipment (with back-up safety alarms) associated with construction. Please take care when traveling around the construction area and for your safety, do not enter the site. Due to the nature of construction, work is weather and situation dependent, and dates are subject to change.
